Proverbs 22:15 (New Living Translation)
but physical discipline will drive it far away.
“Granddaddy, I love you”, she said. “Can I have a cookie?” “I remember your mom and dad saying you were not to have sweets this week.” “Is that right, sugar pie”? “Oh granddad…..(her little brain thinking), I love you so much, hug me”, her soft voice babbles with kindness. “OK sweetheart, here is my hug”, I said.
“Granddaddy, I love you”, she said. “Can I have a cookie?” “You are so sweet, ok just one”, my softened heart surrenders.
“Granddaddy, I love you”, she said. “Can I have another cookie?” “No sweetheart, did I not say one”? “Oh…..granddaddy, pleaseeeeeeeeee?” “No sweetheart” I said.
Her “sweet” head spins around, like in the movie the exorcist, “I WANT A COOKIE”, demanding and yelling at the top of her sweet lungs.
I am thinking, “Where is all this love spoken moments ago”?
That is it for today.

That’s a great story, I’ve watch the same type of thing in my step-daughter. It makes you wonder who replaced the sweet little child from only minutes ago, with the one that is mad and pouting now.
