He spent forty four years travelling throughout the colonies, later the states, of America. He is believed to have preached 16,550 sermons, and ridden over a quarter of a million miles. When he arrived in 1771 there were just 550 Methodists concentrated in New York and Philadelphia. By 1816 there were 250,000 Methodists ministered to by 700 ordained preachers.
Enter 2008 and welcome a preacher of the Gospel. Dr. Robert Hale. Bob as he is called by friends and family is a preacher of the gospel. Dr Hale finished his post graduate work with a degree from Oxford.
A learned man, Dr Hale is from the hills of Eastern Kentucky, a teacher of the gospel with a prophetic anointing.
Dr Hale’s passion is riding the roads of Kentucky on his Harley Davidson, preaching, praying, having fun and proclaiming the Gospel. You would like Dr. Hale, soft spoken, heart of compassion, and like the eye of an eagle, a discerner of truth and grace. Dr. Hale also understand RULE 62, (don’t take yourself to damn serious)
Unlike Francis Asbury who rode by horse to carry the message of the Gospel, Dr Hale rides his Harley, befitting the style of Francis Asbury, only more horses so to speak.
This photo shot with Nikon D300 14-24mm f/2.8, shutter 1/13, manual ISO 200 focal length 14mm, 3
SB800’s (CLICK PHOTOS TO SEE LARGER SIZE)(Got my idea from Joe McNally). Modified in PhotoshopCS3, using lab color, and other “stuff” I do in Photoshop.
I also put this together using Katrin Eismann photomerge taught in Kelby Training online tutorials, “stacking” 6 photos to a photomerge action in Photoshop. I was only 2 feet away from this photo when I shot it.
This next shot was with same lens ISO 200, shutter 1/8 sec f-stop 4.5 in manual mode and 3 SB800’s. I “pimped” it out in a HDR look in Photoshop. I also shot all these photos in Raw or NEF as Nikon calls it.
I am working out of my garage (my wife rolls her eyes when she watches Mr Cheap pimp out my garage}.
Below is the shot of my garage “before”.
I hope to shoot a lot of motorcycles this summer and fall. Our community loves their bikes…..and toys
